Mbakisya Onyango，University of Tennessee，USA，Professor，Dr. Mbakisya Onyango is U.C. Foundation Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, a Kansas State graduate with Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. She joined UTC on January 2010 as Assistant professor. Dr. Onyango teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in civil engineering and conducts research in transportation engineering and construction materials. She is currently conducting research in pavement markings; Traffic calibration for the MEPDG for the state of Tennessee; and evaluation of the use of polyurethane material for levelling concrete pavements in Tennessee funded by Tennessee Department of Transportation. She is also working with Oak ridge National Lab on Energy Efficient Modular Wall Systems for New Construction and Retrofit. Dr. Onyango has advised over 100 undergraduate students and supervised 7 graduate students’ thesis

Heikki Handroos，LUT University，Finland，Professor，Heikki Handroos is a Full Professor in Machine Automation at LUT University, Finland. He earned his DSc (Technology) from Tampere University of Technology in 1991 and has headed the Laboratory of Intelligent Machines since 1993. His research covers modelling, simulation and control of mechatronic systems, robotics, hybrid transmissions and mobile machinery. He has published over 300 scientific papers (220 Scopus‑indexed, >2400 Google Scholar citations), supervised 38 doctoral dissertations and more than 200 MSc theses, and led R&D projects with total funding over 20 M€. He is co‑founder and board chairman of four spin‑off companies. He has held visiting‑professor positions in the USA, Japan and Russia. He is a member of IEEE, ASME and GFPS, once worked as Associate Editor for the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control, and has served as Vice‑Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Chairman of the Collegiate Body at LUT University.
